B&B La Nona is located on a beautiful hill, one block from Plazuela San Luis and San Luis Gonzaga´s church, in the heart of Cerro Alegre. We are a 30-minute walk from Rodoviario bus Station and there are bus stops two blocks away.

Our fantastic transport connections mean that all of Valparaíso´s attractions are easily accessible. These attractions include Germany avenue, Pablo Neruda´s house, Cultural Center, Turri Clock Tower, Polanco elevator, Public Library and Valparaiso´s Cathedral.

If you like shopping, then the world-famous Condell street, Pedro Montt avenue and Victoria street are only a short bus/walking journey away. There are a number of cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby featuring local drinks and Chilean cuisine. The market is brilliant for fish and seafood, while the Gran Bretaña is famous for its victorian houses.

Bars worth visiting include the Bar Ingles, in Cochrane street opposite the Turri Clock Tower, Bar Cinzano at Plaza Anibal Pinto, and Bar Liberty (our 1st bar from 1897) opposite Echaurren square. Football fans will have to wait a while to see Santiago Wanderers, Colo-Colo and Universidad de Chile on the weekends. The footbal stadiums of Valparaiso and Vina del Mar are being remodeled.

Valparaíso also has a brilliant nightlife and is home to almost all conceivable music styles. There are a host of clubs and late night bars where you can go out and party, from La Piedra Feliz in Errazuriz avenue to Mr Egg in Bellavista street. Pictures of the city are available in our gallery.

About Us

About us

We are René y Carolina, a small Bed & Breakfast trying to be a little bit more friendly and economical than the big hostels in town. We have lived here in Cerro Alegre for more than 35 years. Since 2006 we open the doors of our own home to you because we are ready and willing to give and share what is ours. All our private rooms have private bathrooms.

My wife, is responsible for solving the problem of dirty clothes for travelers, neighbors and locals with "The Twin Magic Laundry". My mother takes care of the kitchen. My passion is the logistics in each of our activities like horseback riding and wine tours. I strive to give you the greatest possible amount of information, travel orientation and suggestions about our beautiful city and its surroundings.

We think the best way to experience a foreign place is definitely staying with the locals, and that is what makes us different from other hostels. We will share our home with you because we do not see you as a tourist, we see you as a traveler, a friend who wants to see and learn how we live life day to day.
